Business Intelligence Officer x1 post 
Full time - 36 Hours 
Salary SO1 - £37,068 - £38,058 
We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Officer to join our Environment &amp; Communities department—a dynamic and diverse service area delivering frontline services that affect every resident in the borough. From clean streets and vibrant parks to public safety and environmental health, this is your opportunity to help shape the borough through insight-driven decision making. 
About the Role 
As Business Intelligence Officer, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful intelligence that enables high-quality, efficient, and responsive services. Your work will inform both day-to-day operational delivery and long-term strategic planning across a wide range of services, including: 
 
 - Waste &amp; Recycling 
 - Highways 
 - Parks &amp; Open Spaces 
 - Leisure Services 
 - Property Services 
 - Environmental Protection 
 
You will provide analytical support that helps service managers, senior leaders, elected members, and partners understand performance, identify areas for improvement, and make evidence-based decisions. 
What You’ll Do 
 
 - Develop and deliver business intelligence reports, dashboards, and tools using modern data platforms and visualisation software 
 - Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for service transformation 
 - Support the department in embedding a data-driven culture that champions continuous improvement 
 - Explore emerging technologies, such as AI and predictive analytics, to enhance decision-making and service innovation 
 - Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the Council and with external partners to ensure that insight leads to action 
 
About You 
We're looking for a curious and analytical thinker with: 
 
 - Strong technical skills in data analysis and visualisation (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Excel) 
 - Experience of working with large and complex data sets 
 - The ability to present insights clearly to non-technical audiences 
 - A proactive approach to solving problems and improving services 
 - A passion for public service and commitment to Enfield’s values of sustainability, community wellbeing, and inclusive growth
