Business Relationship Manager
PO7 - £48,234 - £50,115
Hackney is London's most diverse and dynamic borough. Stretching from the edge of the City, to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it is an area of rapid economic growth, particularly in the tech, media, fashion and other creative industries. Hackney has more green space than any other inner London borough, some of the capital's best schools, and first class transport connections, which combined with excellent local public services and a thriving arts, cultural and retail sector, are fast making it one of London's most popular areas to live, work and visit. The challenge for Hackney is to make sure that the borough's economic growth provides benefits for everyone who lives here, and to create opportunities that will transform the lives of local people.
We know that staff are key to our success and we are seeking people with ambition, creativity and commitment to our values to help us achieve the best for the people of Hackney.
We are currently recruiting a senior digital professional with the skills, experience and ambition to re-shape the way we deliver our services. This will be a challenging role with responsibility for ensuring we deliver user-centred digital services so good, people prefer to use them. For the right person, this provides an exciting opportunity to make a real and significant contribution to improve the delivery of some of the Council's highest profile services to the people of Hackney.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to promoting user-centred, Agile approaches and creating a culture which promotes multi-disciplinary team working. You will build excellent working relationships across the Council, with partners and with external agencies, ensuring that our services meet the Local Government Digital Service Standard. Your experience of strategy development, digital service design, business process re-engineering, budget management and managing a system support service will enable you to deliver improvements each fortnight, and you will be able to manage and direct Council-wide programmes and projects from inception to implementation.
At Hackney, we go that extra mile for our people; we offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high profile organisation. If you can take an holistic overview of a directorate and use ICT creatively to help improve performance, design an ICT strategy for the business, manage a programme and write a business case that will persuade your colleagues, we would like to hear from you.
If you share our values and are ready to be part of our exciting journey please visit our website www.hackney.gov.uk/jobs-careers to apply.
Please submit a Supporting Statement showing how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the person specification of the post.
Closing date: 23rd July 2017
Interviews will be held on: 1st August 2017
We are passionate about equal opportunities and welcome a broad diversity of talent to apply.
