No previous housing experience is necessary- just the right attitude, commitment to learning and a passion for helping others. The right candidate will receive full training and support to develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide housing advice, assess homelessness applications, and help people access safe and secure accomodation.
You will learn how to provide housing support to clients in housing need and assess applications under the Homelssness Reduction Act 2017. The job also includes liasing with landlords, support services and other agencies to secure housing solutions for households threatned with homelessness.
As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).Assistance will be given by the Council and further details will be in the job application pack. A full driver’s licence is also required.
We offer a salary circa £28,714 per annum plus flexible benefit allowance of £2,007 (full time equivalent).
