You will be part of the Green Sefton Team which is the department within Sefton Council responsible for parks and green spaces. Your main base will be at our Magdalen House Offices in Bootle Town Centre, but satellite offices throughout the borough will be available for you to work from occasionally if required.</p>\n<p>Green Sefton has ambitions to grow its service to deliver the most creative, beautiful, and sustainable environments possible for the people of Sefton. We are looking for skilled individuals to bring their abilities, vision, and enthusiasm, to help us achieve those ambitions.</p>\n<p>Green Sefton teams manage and develop the wonderful natural and manmade resources within the borough of Sefton for people and nature. Sefton’s diverse landscapes include woodlands, an extensive coastline of beaches and sand dunes, meadows, wetlands, water courses, parks, informal greenspaces, and internationally important nature areas. Green Sefton are an important strategic partner and contributor to the development of the increasingly important green/blue infrastructure of the Liverpool City Region. <a href=\"{{SIGN-IN-REQUIRED}}\">https://www.liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk/</a></p>\n<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>\n<p>Your main responsibilities will be to support the Principal Development Officer, who is also a Landscape Architect, to instigate and deliver a varied programme of improvement projects throughout the borough of Sefton. As part of the Development Team, you will be responsible for conceiving and designing projects that will move Sefton onto a more sustainable and nature enhancing footing.</p>\n<p>You will contribute landscape and public realm designs as part of multi-disciplinary teams, as well as provide advice to other disciplines and council departments on landscape and urban design matters. You will be expected to identify, secure, and direct funding opportunities toward and within the Green Sefton portfolio of works. You will enhance existing relationships with our delivery and strategic partners as well as build new ones. As we build our team you may be required to lead and mentor more junior team members.</p>\n<p>The position is full time for an initial period of until end March 2026 with a 3-month probationary period. <em>Due to Green Sefton’s increasing workload this position and the team structure is currently being reviewed with a view to making this position permanent.</em></p>\n<p><strong>Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion</strong><br>Green Sefton are keen to create a diverse team of people who respect, value, and support each other in the delivery of our service.
