We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated person to join the dedicated team at Elizabeth Fry Charity.
Elizabeth Fry Charity runs a 24 bed Approved Premises for women who are under supervision of the Probation Service. Residents at the Approved Premises have access to a range of purposeful activities aimed to support them to address issues that led to their offending and to develop the skills for them to lead an offending-free life in future. The Charity also provides an Outreach Service, supporting women who have moved on from the Approved Premises to the local area.
About the Role
This role was created with a desire to have a management team in place which can support future growth.
The Resettlement and Support Manager will provide line management support to our team of Resettlement and Support Officers who work shifts to ensure support is available to residents 24 hours a day. The role is based at the Charity’s premises in Reading and will involve working from in the evening, so the postholder is available to the staff team. As a member of the management team, they will also undertake a number of other tasks to ensure the Charity’s services run smoothly.
The role is for 34 hours a week, with the following proposed working hours (there is scope for flexibility with the start times/days worked):
Monday 1pm – midnight
Tuesday 5pm – midnight
Wednesday 3pm – midnight
Thursday 1pm – midnight
What We Are Looking For
At Elizabeth Fry Charity we are a small team, dedicated to supporting our residents to succeed. The postholder will be a natural problem solver who is enthusiastic about the work of the Charity and committed to providing support to our residents in a trauma informed setting. Whilst a formal qualification is not essential, applicants should have experience of working in the criminal justice service and be able to demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment and management in an Approved Premises setting. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate they have the skills required to manage a team of staff.
