Experienced staff manager in care? Looking to be rewarded for your hard work? Join us for fantastic career development opportunities
We believe in providing only the highest standard of care at Notting Hill Housing. This is why we can proudly say that we run the first extra care service in London to achieve "outstanding" at inspection.
We have a management opportunity at our largest extra care service in the heart of Islington. You'll have a great place to work where you have specialist support around you. The Mildmays is our largest extra care service, supporting residents mostly aged 55 years and over, living in 99 units across three buildings. We're proud of this scheme and its excellent reputation. The schemes are serviced by excellent transport links and are close to Newington Green, which is home to the oldest surviving terraced houses in London.
Your leadership will make a real difference to the staff who work for us and the residents who live on site. Making sure our residents and our staff are well looked after is absolutely vital to us. With support from the on site Extra Care Manager, we'll look to you as one of four Care Co-ordinators, to lead your team of care workers. You'll ensure our ethos is put into practice - that customer's needs and wants are put firmly at the centre of everything we do.
We want you to grow in this role. We'll support you by further developing your management skills and specialist knowledge with exceptional training that includes "Medication Management" and "Managing a Resilient Workforce". With the training provided there will be opportunities for you to specialise in areas like mental health, dementia and end of life care.
No two days will be the same. You'll be supporting vulnerable adults with different levels of care and support needs to have fulfilling lives and make the most of opportunities available to them. With this as our aim it is essential that you already have experience of supervising staff to engage and empower vulnerable customers.
In return we offer excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), health cash plan, season ticket loan, cycle 2 work scheme, childcare vouchers, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer. You will be required to work late, early, weekends and Bank holiday shifts.
It is a requirement of this role that the job holder hold an enhanced DBS disclosure that we find satisfactory and we will apply for this during the pre-employment process.
To apply to this role, please email your CV to stating the vacancy reference and job title clearly in the subject box of your email
Recruitment process: If you are shortlisted for this role, a member of the management team will give you a call to discuss your previous experience and skills. They will then confirm whether your application has been progressed further and if so, you will be asked to submit a Supporting Statement and be invited in for an assessment on 9 October 2017.
This is a temporary role covering maternity leave until April 2018.
We are committed to equality of opportunity and are proud to be certified as a Disability Confident Employer.
