With your experience and technical expertise in highway maintenance you will play a vital part in the delivery of the council’s capital maintenance and minor works programme. In particular, you will have a good level of knowledge and experience of dealing with highway repairs with customer care being at the forefront of your everyday working.
As a vital member of the Highway Operations Team, you will assist the Highway Operations Manager in the design and implementation of highway maintenance schemes and act as the primary contact for highway patching related matters. As a member of the team, you will be experienced in working with contractors and local stakeholders as well as meeting members of the public. You will deal with a range of individual maintenance projects that will include resurfacing and reconstruction, surface treatments, patching, footway repairs. This post has a career grade and as such the council would consider applicants with some relevant experience as well as qualified Engineers. The ability to use CAD, project management and asset management packages are essential. You must have a valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel.
