The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus set in beautiful grounds.
This role is based at The County High School, Leftwich, which is a high performing, fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1050 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff.&nbsp; The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 210, and we are now significantly over-subscribed.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker to join our school.&nbsp; Our school is where students enjoy and achieve during their time here and we strive to ensure our colleagues are motivated, happy, supported and have satisfaction from their role.&nbsp;
The purpose of the Caretaker role is to help maintain the smooth operation of the school, ensuring that it is a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for all our students, staff, and visitors alike.
Responsibilities include maintaining the school building, including the multi-use games area (MUGA), the outside hard play surfaces, carrying out repairs, improvements, and general maintenance tasks to ensure the school and site are maintained in a satisfactory condition that meets the required standards.
Predominately working from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, this role does have on call duties on a rota basis ad has a requirement to cover holidays and absences where necessary.&nbsp; It is essential therefore that you are able to demonstrate a high level of flexibility.

We require someone with initiative who is hardworking, flexible and highly motivated to take responsibility for providing the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance of our learning environment.
Some of the main duties include;
<ul>
<li>Monitor, operate and maintain appropriate site security systems, including opening and closing the building at the beginning and end of the school day, lettings outside school hours and responding to call outs as necessary to provide satisfactory security arrangements.</li>
<li>Efficient maintenance of the building and site, including liaising with contractors.</li>
<li>Can carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating capably and follow a planned maintenance programme.</li>
<li>Maintain and monitor Health and Safety standards, reporting any failures to comply with the school’s statutory obligations in this area and ensure that contractor’s work meets Health and safety Regulations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of COSHH and Safe Work Practices.</li>
<li>Have a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety.</li>
<li>Certain administrative duties are required to ensure that statutory documentation is kept up to date.</li>
<li>Monitor site stock and order supplies.</li>
<li>Cleaning duties as required.</li>
</ul>
Split shift hours will be worked Mon-Friday 7.00 am to 11.00 am and 3.00pm to 6.00 pm. Holidays to be taken outside of term time.

Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, such as supporting the Premises Manager with building and grounds maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, assisting with porterage, and overseeing external contractors. This role is full-time, 10:00 – 19:00 Monday – Friday, with flexibility required dependent on business need. We are seeking to appoint as soon as possible.
What you will do:

<li>Maintain the school buildings, including effecting minor repairs and improvements and general maintenance tasks to ensure that the school and site are maintained to a satisfactory condition that meets required standards, ensuring compliance at all times.</li>
<li>Ensure that the buildings and site are left in a secure situation when directed to open and lock-up the school site.</li>
