You should have proven experience of work which is compatible with that of a school Premises Officer, of which the main duties include:

<li>Day to day site management including general maintenance and cleanliness;</li>
<li>Maintaining the overall security and safety of the premises including key holding, regularly testing fire alarms and upkeeping of general health &amp; safety;</li>
<li>Assist with daily cleaning contract including ordering of necessary stock;</li>
<li>Consistently supporting the school including complying to school policy and raising any concerns where applicable.</li>

Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, such as supporting the Premises Manager with building and grounds maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, assisting with porterage, and overseeing external contractors. This role is full-time, 10:00 – 19:00 Monday – Friday, with flexibility required dependent on business need. We are seeking to appoint as soon as possible.
What you will do:
<ul>
<li>Maintain the school buildings, including effecting minor repairs and improvements and general maintenance tasks to ensure that the school and site are maintained to a satisfactory condition that meets required standards, ensuring compliance at all times.</li>
<li>Ensure that the buildings and site are left in a secure situation when directed to open and lock-up the school site.</li>
<li>To undertake repairs and DIY projects within budgetary constraints set by the Premise Manager.</li>
<li>Operate and maintain appropriate site security systems, including opening and closing the building at the beginning and end of the school day and responding to emergency call-outs as necessary, in order to provide satisfactory security arrangements.</li>
</ul>

Assistant Site Manager
The leadership team and governors of Springwell Park Primary School are looking to appoint a skilled, committed, reliable, self-motivated Assistant Site Manager to join our hardworking team.&nbsp; We are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic person with the necessary practical abilities to maintain our building to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of our Site Manager to ensure that all site activities are conducted efficiently and safely. This will include the&nbsp;&nbsp; management of the designated premises, including the building maintenance, cleanliness, security and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures plant and heavy equipment in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for students, staff and other users of the school’s premises.
We are looking for a team player who is able to react to a dynamic environment which ensures the smooth running of the school. The ideal candidate will foster excellent relationships with all members of staff at all levels in the school to provide a ‘can do’ attitude to setting up rooms for various school activities and events and oversee external contractors working on the designated premises; whilst assisting the Site Manager with compliance with statutory regulation, ensuring we maintain safe places for our students, colleagues and visitors.
Hours will be strictly 1.45pm – 6.15pm Monday to Friday term time only.&nbsp; There will be no flexibility with the set hours. There will be up to 10 additional late nights each year to accommodate Governors Meetings and Parents Evenings, this will be planned in advance.
This position is fixed term until 31.08.26 in the first instance, and subject to a 6 month probationary period.
