We are looking to appoint a committed and motivated part-time Caretaker to join our dedicated Site Maintenance Team responsible for ensuring that our school provides a safe, welcoming and purposeful environment for staff, students and visitors. Our dedicated and much-respected caretaker is retiring after many years of loyal service and the Governors of Black Horse Hill Infant School are now seeking to appoint a committed and hardworking individual to take on this vital role within our school community.
We are a warm and friendly Infant School where children are at the heart of everything we do. As our caretaker, you will play an important role in maintaining and developing our school site so that our school remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to work independently, a good level of physical fitness, and the capability to carry out basic maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. A strong sense of responsibility is essential. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. We require someone with initiative who is hardworking, flexible and highly motivated to take responsibility for providing the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance of our learning environment.
Some of the main duties include;
