The successful candidate will manage the premises team and liaise with external contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities: <br>Oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and facilities. <br>Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment for staff, pupils, and visitors. <br>Conduct regular inspections and routine checks on the school premises, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues. <br>Manage site security, including key holding, locking and unlocking of buildings, and overseeing visitor access. <br>Coordinate and manage external contractors for specialist services such as cleaning, catering, and repairs. <br>To assist in managing the site team, providing training and support to ensure high standards of work. <br>Maintain a clean, clutter-free environment for pupils with additional needs, ensuring that facilities are adapted as required to ensure accessibility. <br>Oversee grounds maintenance, including gardening and outdoor spaces to provide safe and stimulating areas for the children to enjoy. </p>\n<p>Skills & Experience: <br>Experience in site management, facilities management, or a similar role. <br>Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, children, parents, and contractors. <br>A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance issues. <br>Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
