ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Housing and Resettlement worker, you will report to the Deputy and/or Service Manager. You will carry out supported housing management duties within your role, providing professionalism, customer service, and a responsive service. You will maintain social contact and company with the residents to help enhance quality of life, enhance personal safety, health and security, sustainment of tenancy, and improve their financial independence.
Work Pattern: Flexible Shifts - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
ABOUT THE SERVICE
Our residential houses in Bedford are commissioned by Bedford Borough Council to deliver housing related support services for people with mental health problems. The aim of our service is to provide a short term service to enable clients to recover, stabilise and manage their mental health, develop or rebuild their independent living skills, engage with other key services within the locality and access suitable intermediate or long term housing.
Our properties offer a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wanting to engage with support to increase their levels of independence.
Our support programme is led by the individual and co-ordinated with support staff and external agencies. We work with our Service Users to create personalised support plans using the Recovery Star system and record and measure

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who shares our values and passion for what we do, ideally a team player who can communicate effectively with others and build effective working relations. Someone who is confident working in the sector, and ideally has worked in a similar environment although this is not essential. We're looking for someone who is willing to be open to new challenges, use their own initiative to resolve problems, and think outside the box to support the residents we work with. The person we hire will respect all aspects of EDI, and be compassionate, supportive, and empowering to others.
