About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Compliance Officer or Senior Enforcement Officer within our Delivery and Enforcement Team on a permanent basis. This role is part of a career-graded structure, meaning that your specific responsibilities, job title, and salary will be tailored to your experience, skills, and professional development.
As you grow in this role, there will be opportunities for career progression, including movement through the career grades (Levels 5-7). Your advancement will be based on your demonstrable competencies, attainment of necessary skills, and the needs of the service, as assessed during annual appraisals.
The Team is responsible for investigating, monitoring and where appropriate taking action against alleged breaches of planning controls in a constrained area which includes Green Belt, AONB and other sensitive environments.
You will spend much of your time out and about visiting sites but will also work from home or the office to assess and collate evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.
About you
The position requires either experience of enforcement of legislation or working knowledge of Town and Country planning law preferably with some experience relevant to the role. Starting salary will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
