Do you have research experience and are looking for an exciting new opportunity to use research to improve health and wellbeing and tackle health inequalities in Medway?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant working within the Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Medway (see https://www.medway.gov.uk/hdrc for more information). This role will support the essential work of the HDRC Medway Research Team. This includes contributing to the synthesis and use of existing research evidence to inform policy and practice, assisting the development of research questions and projects, supporting the implementation of research studies, and identifying opportunities to secure research funding. It is an opportunity to work at the heart of the Council, engage internal and external stakeholders and develop your skills and experience.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree (e.g., public health, social sciences) or equivalent relevant experience and have experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods (academically or applied). They will also be able to build a strong rapport and relationships at all levels within and outside of the organisation and have a keen interest in improving health and wellbeing.

This is a fixed-term opportunity until October 2025.
This opportunity is currently being offered on a fixed term contract basis of 12 months; however, if budgets allow the contract length may be extended and/or become permanent, though this is not guaranteed.
