We are looking to appoint a Provider Quality Officer to join the Contracts and Quality (Commissioning) Team with a passion for improving outcomes for/promoting the safety of vulnerable adults residing in Reading.
This role will require a mix of reactive and proactive quality monitoring and visits across care homes, home care, and supported living. As a Provider Quality Officer you will play a key role in screening care quality concerns, completing due diligence and quality related checks, and contributing to risk management-reduction efforts.

About the Role
As a Provider Quality Officer you will have opportunities to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health and social care, as well as work closely with commissioners and the safeguarding team to ensure a robust and coordinated approach.
We foster a positive working culture where Providers are reinforced and supported to achieve high standards of care in conjunction with best practice industry standards and contractual requirements.
We are looking for candidates with a background in health and/or social care commensurate to the role; with a good knowledge base of the relevant legislation (including The Care Act 2014), policies, and insights governing the sector.

Our offer
Flexible/Hybrid working – you will be able to work from home or at the Civic Offices. You will be required to travel around Reading from time to time as you will need to do face to face visits. You may occasionally be required to work with Providers commissioned outside of the Reading area.
