We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for Child Care Workers within our Residential Children’s Home across the County.
This is your chance to play a vital role in the care and safeguarding of vulnerable adolescents in Hertfordshire. Our children’s residential service is constantly developing to reflect changes in demand and need. You will be supporting adolescents with difficult backgrounds and disabilities through some of the most challenging times.
To be considered you will have experience of working with children and young people, preferably but not exclusively within the residential environment. You will undertake direct work with children and families with the most complex needs.
We are looking for creative and dynamic people to work in our children’s homes to provide day to day parenting to our children and reduce all risks. As part of a team you will work with our teenagers to help them to make sense of their experiences in order to help them achieve their full potential.
Our Welwyn Garden City home (Willow House), Child Care Workers are required to carry out direct personal care and be creative in communicating with non-verbal children.
These posts will involve shift work including evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays as well as sleep in duties and going on holiday with the children. Additional payments for the out of hours work are provided.
In accordance to The Care Standards Act, applicants must be over 21 years old to apply which is 4 years older than the oldest child within our residential setting.
It is essential for the role that you are a driver and have access to a car.
