The Governors of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School would like to appoint a caring, committed and vigilant Midday Assistant to supervise pupils during the lunch time period and to ensure their welfare and safety. Duties will include supervision, support, engaging with children and the cleaning of the lunch hall, as well as other duties as directed by the Head of School.&nbsp;

Key Responsibilities Supervise activities and maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break, having regard to special or additional needs.
To undertake the general supervision of pupils during the service of meals and to maintain an adequate standard of table manners and eating habits. To provide adequate training in the use of cutlery. To provide welfare and supervision of all pupils before or after the meal and in the playground, hall, corridors and classrooms as instructed by the senior member of classroom staff. The organisation and management of large numbers of pupils. To supervise classes of children inside school during wet lunchtimes. To maintain discipline during the lunch break and to promote adherence to the School's Behaviour and Anti Bullying Policies.

 Job requirements:
 The Governors of Hudson Primary School and Family Wellbeing Centre seek to make the appointment of a Lunchtime / Welfare assistant. This post is part time and is between 5 and 10hrs per week over the lunchtime period. Exact hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
This position could involve work across both EYFS and our SEN Unit so experience of either would be useful and should be detailed in your application.
This is a fixed term post initially until 17th July 2026 with a distinct possibility of permanence.

Mid-day Assistant Required to start ASAP Permanent, Term-Time Only – 7.5 hours per week Band B – (SCP 3) £24,796 FTE Actual annual salary £4,368 - £4,467 dependent upon length of service
We are looking to appoint a Mid-day Assistant, whose primary function will be to ensure the safety and welfare of our students during the lunch break. They will supervise the students in the dining hall, corridors and on the school yard, reinforcing acceptable behaviours when in line for dinner and also when in non- structured situations e.g. when moving around and exiting school to ensure that this is done in an orderly manner.
Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage.
