<h2>About the job</h2>10Salary: £26,409 - £28,624 a year Hours per week: 37 (shifts between 7am and 10pm) Contract type: PermanentDo you enjoy working outside with minimal supervision, but as part of a team?We wish to strengthen our dynamic team of Civil Enforcement Officers serving the local community. You will be required to patrol and monitor all parking restrictions both on and off street ensuring adherence to all parking regulations in accordance with the Council’s parking policies and procedures.You should have excellent customer care experience, be confident, willing to assist and advise the public on all parking matters. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to deal with people in difficult situations and be able to record written evidence in a pocket book that is legible.Working outside in all weathers, on your feet or in a mobile patrol, you will have legible handwriting and a full manual driving license would also be helpful.Hours of work are defined by management but will be shifts between 7am and 10pm. Cremation – Undertaking full training and working towards an accredited FBCA qualification, participating in the complete cremation process and the respectful management of ashes. Administration– Managing bookings for burials and cremations, verifying documentation, maintaining accurate records, and supporting families with enquiries. Contract Management – Overseeing contractors to ensure cemeteries are maintained to our service standards, including grounds care, site cleaning, and grave preparation. You will be based at our award-winning Oak Hill Lawn Cemetery &amp; Crematorium five days per week (including some Saturdays on a rota basis), with travel required to cemeteries and other council offices and sites across the borough. You will have a UK full driving license. The ability to converse with ease with members of the public and to provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post.
