Job DescriptionSalary: £37,815 - £43,083 per annum&nbsp;Grade: EPermanent Contract37 Hours per Week&nbsp;Thurrock Council are seeking an ASB Officer to join its specialised ASB and Enforcement Team. &nbsp;You will be working within a team providing a service for tenants, leaseholders, and Thurrock residents. The team investigates complaints of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and hate related incidents whilst providing support to victims, witnesses, and complainants.&nbsp;You must have extensive experience relating to the management of anti-social behaviour. This will include managing a diverse workload, adhering to targets, preparing witness statements, and working in partnership with the police and agencies to bring cases to a successful conclusion including attending court hearings where necessaryThe Anti-Social Behaviour Team provide a high profile, frontline, high visibility, proactive and reactive response to all aspects of nuisance, Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and hate related incidents in and related to council tenancies.&nbsp; We are keen to promote social responsibility, community cohesion and awareness of ASB.&nbsp;Understand and apply all requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).The role includes but is not limited to:<ul> <li>To manage a caseload of ASB and Hate Crime cases, to ensure you provide a high profile, proactive &amp; reactive ASB service across the borough.</li> <li>To utilise a comprehensive range of prevention, intervention, and enforcement (P.I.E) tactics, whilst carrying out enforcement duties within the framework of current and future relevant legislation.&nbsp;</li> <li>To carry out visits, investigations, and other duties as appropriate to ensure the gathering and collation of evidence to take the most appropriate action to meet the council’s statutory duties. This includes out of court disposals through the issuance of notices, including the issuance of Fixed Penalty Notices and formal court action through the civil or criminal courts as appropriate.</li> <li>To apply legal action protocols and in particular the Public Sector Equality Duty by working with colleagues and partners in support and intervention services.</li> <li>To consider victims a priority for our response to nuisance, ASB and hate related incidents. To deliver on Brentwood and Rochford Councils' ambitions, we are looking for an Economic Development Officer to join our OneTeam that serves both councils.
Brentwood Borough Council priorities include supporting start-ups, skills delivery and sustainability. Rochford District Council priorities include town centre regeneration, supporting growing businesses, skills delivery and sustainability. <h3>The role will involve</h3>

Project and Strategy Support: Assist in implementing the Councils’ Economic Development Strategies and action plans, including leading and managing specific projects and feasibility work including those funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.</li>
<li>
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a deputy contact for external organisations such as Essex County Council, attending networking events and assist with organising Council-run business engagement programmes.</li>
<li>
Business and Investment Services: Provide advice and signposting to local businesses, respond to inward investment enquiries and contribute to strategic economic development documents.</li>
<li>
Communications and Administration: Create and manage content for newsletters, websites and social media, while also handling administrative and financial tasks up to £25,000.</li>
<li>
Corporate and Compliance Responsibilities: Work flexibly across Brentwood and Rochford councils, adhere to safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, and equality policies, and support emergency response efforts when required.</li>

<h3>About the candidate&nbsp;</h3>
You will need to have strong written and verbal communication, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, able to work within a friendly and supportive team, be well organised and able to deliver to tight deadlines and to maintain effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders. &nbsp;
Desirable qualities include local government and UK Shared Prosperity Fund experience, knowledge of economic development generally and insights on the Brentwood Borough and Rochford District business communities specifically.

This role will involve travel between Brentwood Town Hall, Rochford District Council’s offices at The Launchpad at Southend Airport Business Park, as well as networking venues around Brentwood Borough and Rochford District.
