<p><strong>Do you enjoy working in the community with residents and visitors?&nbsp; We are looking to recruit a Civil Enforcement Officer to join a close-knit team of likeminded professionals.&nbsp; Our Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas and providing advice to residents and members of the public whilst enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines. <p><strong>About you…</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Capable of lone working safely, previous experience in an enforcement role preferred</li>
<li>A keen eye for detail</li>
<li>An excellent communicator able to encourage considerate parking, sometimes in challenging situations, whilst providing a high level of customer service</li>
<li>Computer literate, you will be able to apply these skills to using a mobile phone with parking software</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About the role…</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>To inspect and identify vehicles parked in contravention of parking regulations</li>
<li>Issue penalty charge notices where necessary, to ensure our roads are safe and congestion free,</li>
<li>Walking several miles per day, outdoors in all seasons,</li>
<li>Full training in parking enforcement will be provided, including conflict management</li>
<li>Working flexibly on shifts between 8am-6pm weekdays, likely 10am-6pm, with regular evening, weekend and bank holiday work with pay uplifts. Initial training may be within weekday and Saturday 8am-6pm range</li>
</ul>
<p>Please note, the successful applicant will need access to a private vehicle; be mobile and able to work from various locations with a full, valid UK driving licence and business vehicle insurance cover.&nbsp; This is to enable travel across the county to undertake the full requirements of the role.</p>
<p>The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a standard check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.</p>

Opening and closing sites, as well as cleaning to a high standard and maintaining good health and safety standards. </p><p>You will be the face of North Northamptonshire Council for those people using our facilities and you will be providing excellent customer service at all times.</p><p><strong>Purpose of the job </strong></p><p>Reporting to the Community Facilities Team Leader, this role is to assist in the operational procedures for managing hires and activities within the pavilions, community centres and parks including Ise Valley Pavilion, North Park Pavilion, Northampton Road Pavilion, Rockingham Road Pleasure Park, Counties Community Centre, Rothwell Community Centre, Melton Street Community Centre, Hazelwood Neighbourhood Centre and any other support required across North Northamptonshire. They also ensure health and safety procedures within facilities are followed and provide a clean and safe space for members of the general public. The key aim is to provide an excellent customer service to regular users and hirers of our facilities. </p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>We are looking to recruit an individual who can be flexible with their working hours, as our community centres are open Monday to Sunday between 9am – 10pm. You must be able to drive between sites with a full valid UK driving licence using your own vehicle. With excellent customer service skills, you will be enthusiastic in your role and willing to help our customers where needed.
