In this role, you will lead comprehensive stakeholder mapping and communications channel strategies for reaching key audiences, including working in innovative ways to promote and engage with the biodiversity strategy and reach out to, and involve diverse and under-represented groups in our community.&nbsp; This work will inform the development of communication and participation plans and the structured engagement with partners (Camden Nature Partnership), including identifying barriers to engagement with nature, and seeking solutions to these barriers. You will have experience of planning, promoting and running wildlife themed events for a diversity of audiences. You will have a relevant degree or qualification in biology, ecology, nature conservation or horticulture. Charity Shop Volunteer &nbsp; Be there when it matters as a Sue Ryder Volunteer &nbsp; As a Sue Ryder Volunteer in one of our charity shops, you will be one of the store’s friendly faces, helping us to provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our Palliative and Bereavement services.
The role: Our Sue Ryder shop volunteer roles are filled with variety and can cover many aspects of the role of a shop volunteer including:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;Donations and Gift Aid – meet donors, receive donations, sign donors up to Gift Aid • &nbsp; &nbsp;Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock • &nbsp; &nbsp;Greeting and helping customers • &nbsp; &nbsp;Serving customers on the till (training provided) • &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintaining shop displays, re-stocking, • &nbsp; &nbsp;Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented

The Listening Place is a volunteer-led charity aiming to transform how we support people who feel suicidal.&nbsp;Our trained volunteers are part of a team delivering face-to-face, confidential, ongoing support to thousands of people each year.&nbsp; They help create the warm and welcoming environment that encourages people struggling with suicidal thoughts and feelings to talk openly without being judged or given advice.&nbsp; &nbsp;
We are looking for Listening Volunteers to join our team at our new site based near Liverpool Street. Listening Volunteers provide ongoing face-to-face support to visitors on regular, fortnightly 4-hour shifts during which they meet with up to 3 visitors (for up to 50 minutes each). In order to ensure continuity for our visitors we require a one-year minimum commitment from our LVs, as well as three months’ notice of intention to leave.
No experience or qualifications are necessary – we provide full training in active listening.&nbsp; We look for warmth, empathy and resilience in our volunteers and the ability to be non-judgemental and avoid giving advice.
We are primarily recruiting Listening Volunteers for our new site near Liverpool Street. We also have limited vacancies available at our other sites in Hammersmith, Pimlico and Kings Cross.

We are looking for Helping Volunteers to join our team at our new site based near Liverpool Street. Helping Volunteers are responsible for welcoming visitors onto our premises, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere (along with a cup of tea), and supporting our Listening Volunteers to help everything run smoothly.
We are looking for volunteers who have the empathy to greet distressed visitors, the willingness to undertake a variety of admin and other tasks and the resilience to support their team.&nbsp; Our HVs need to be proactive, self-starters and team players with a basic understanding of IT. We ask for a weekly commitment of four hours for a period of at least six months.
