The Council is looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and empathetic person to support the integration of our Ukrainian and other minority communities and deliver the council’s wider cohesion initiatives.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will be a people person who is passionate about bringing people together and making a positive difference in the community.
You will work as part of the Community &amp; Partnerships team alongside partner organisation to support integration and enhance community cohesion. This role requires community-based work alongside residents and partners.&nbsp;We are looking for someone who can support our integration efforts actively involving our diverse communities including both migrant and minority communities.
Main Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Work proactively to estabish connection and support for minority communities including Ukranian and refugee residents</li>
<li>providing tailored advice, signposting, and assistance based on individual need and focused on developing independence. This could include casework.</li>
<li>Help identify integration needs of migrant communities and the wider community in Rushmoor and develop project opportunities to facilitate integration.</li>
<li>Organise and support community events and workshops to facilitate dialogue, cultural exchange, integration, and collaboration.</li>
<li>Collaborate with local stakeholders on the best ways to address issues related to community tensions within the community and bring communities together.</li>
<li>Work with the broader Community &amp; Partnerships Team to understand and develop the network of support from community partners.</li>
<li>Work with local schools and faith groups to identify integration needs and facilitate support opportunities.</li>
<li>Participate in county-wide networks to share best practice and stay abreast of developments in refugee-specific schemes.</li>
<li>Support local community groups to identify funding opportunities that address the challenges in service delivery for vulnerable groups and communities.</li>
<li>Help collate and maintain relevant and proportionate records and distribution lists to enable service delivery, statutory reporting, and assistance with any relevant grant applications.</li>

The ideal candidate
The Council is looking for someone who is passionate about promoting community cohesion and making a positive impact in people's lives, with experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
You will have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. You will be able to work independently and willing to work with other services and external agencies.
You may also have experience working in integration, resettlement, migration or community cohesion.

The Listening Place is a volunteer-led charity aiming to transform how we support people who feel suicidal.&nbsp;Our trained volunteers are part of a team delivering face-to-face, confidential, ongoing support to thousands of people each year.&nbsp; They help create the warm and welcoming environment that encourages people struggling with suicidal thoughts and feelings to talk openly without being judged or given advice.&nbsp; &nbsp;
We are looking for Listening Volunteers to join our team at our new site based near Liverpool Street. Listening Volunteers provide ongoing face-to-face support to visitors on regular, fortnightly 4-hour shifts during which they meet with up to 3 visitors (for up to 50 minutes each). In order to ensure continuity for our visitors we require a one-year minimum commitment from our LVs, as well as three months’ notice of intention to leave.
No experience or qualifications are necessary – we provide full training in active listening.&nbsp; We look for warmth, empathy and resilience in our volunteers and the ability to be non-judgemental and avoid giving advice.
We are primarily recruiting Listening Volunteers for our new site near Liverpool Street. We also have limited vacancies available at our other sites in Hammersmith, Pimlico and Kings Cross.
