Apprenticeship Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Customer Service

Job Description

To provide customer service within Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. Acting as the first line of contact face to face and on the telephone for customers of the Leisure Centre, within the main reception area and the Tranquil Spa.

£10,804.03 per annum, Apprentice Year One rate

Working week

37 hours per week, working on a shift rota basis including evening and weekends. Full support will be provided during the shifts.

Other information

Annual Leave entitlement is 26 days plus bank holidays.

Length of apprenticeship

12 months

Permanent post

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the post holder will be appointed to the permanent post of Receptionist. The role is 37 hours a week working on a shift rota basis, including, evening, weekend and early mornings.

The post is Grade 2, SCP 10 - 18. Currently that is £16,303 - £18,070 per annum. The starting salary will be SCP 10 £16,303 per annum, the post holder will receive an increment on an annual basis until they reach the top of the grade.

Skills required

Qualifications/Training: Have or predicted at least 5 GCSE’s grade A-C, including English and Maths and the ability to complete a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service.

Knowledge/Skills: The post holder will need to be self-motivated, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, demonstrate a high degree of written and verbal communication skills and understand the importance of providing good customer service.

Personal qualities

The post holder will need to have an appetite to learn new skills, the ability to exercise initiative, work with others and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. The successful applicant must be keen to work in a busy environment and demonstrate maturity and the ability to deal with a variety of people.
