We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Services Officer with excellent communication skills who will take ownership of the customer journey, responding promptly and effectively to customer enquiries.
You will be the first point of contact for external and internal customers, responding by phone, email and in person to enquiries relating to a wide range of Council services, resolving or escalating these as necessary and updating customer records accordingly.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months working part time hours on the following pattern - Wednesday 1.15pm to 5.15 pm (4hrs), Thursday 8.45am to 5.15pm ( 7.5 Hrs) and Friday 8.45am to 4.45pm. (7hrs)

Customer Services Apprentice&nbsp;
£25,223 per annum&nbsp;
37 hours per week
Fixed term for the length of the apprenticeship (with the potential to move into a permanent role if available).
In partnership with East Sussex College, Hastings this is an exciting opportunity to join our busy, fast paced customer driven Community Contact Centre 5 days a week, whilst also working towards a Level 2 Customer service practitioner qualification.
Working in the Community Contact Centre you will be striving to deliver excellent customer service to members of the public, regardless of access channel, i.e. face to face, phone, email or web services to proactively resolve customer issues, dealing with enquiries involving all council services including Council Tax, Housing Benefits, Homelessness, Parking, Environmental Health, Waste and Recycling.&nbsp;&nbsp;
You will need to have excellent customer service skills, some experience of working with the public, prepared to have challenging conversations and enjoy working as part of a team.  You will be expected to work in our offices in Hastings Town Centre.
You will also be required to enrol with East Sussex College and complete a Level 2 Customer service practitioner qualification, that will take between 12-15 months to complete.&nbsp; You will be supported by us and a tutor from the college during the course and this vacancy will support you in completing the work needed to complete the qualification.&nbsp; More details can be found <a href="https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0072-v1-1" target="_blank">here</a>.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Services Advisor to join our team based at Tonbridge Castle.&nbsp;
Reporting to the Tonbridge Castle, Events &amp; Customer Services Manager, you will undertake a customer facing role supporting our telephony service to residents providing excellent multi skilled customer service across all access channels as well as Tonbridge Tourist Information Centre, Castle Attraction and Conference Centre.
Educated to GCSE grade C standard or above in maths and English (or equivalent), you will have previous experience of providing a customer focussed, front-line, public enquiry service. &nbsp;You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, and demonstrate confident IT skills.
There is a lot to learn, so you must be prepared to assimilate and retain a large amount of information quickly and demonstrate a “can-do” approach to your work. &nbsp;In return we will give you excellent ongoing training and support.
This is a part time vacancy, and our offices are open seven days a week.&nbsp;
This role requires a Basic DBS check which will be obtained by The Council as part of your pre-employment checks.&nbsp;
