This role will involve working within targeted communities, planning and delivering sports and positive activities to young people. Within this, it is important to ensure that young people feel ownership of the sessions, involving them in the planning, decision making and evaluations. You will also work alongside staff to support the delivery of personal and social development opportunities for young people, such as activity days in partnership with local agencies and organisations, as well as the delivery of youth clubs. Finally, this role will also involve addressing any challenging behaviour, with the support of colleagues as appropriate, and work in accordance with the policies, practices and procedures of the Children's Services directorate - particularly in relation to safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety. </p>\n<p>There are four permanent, relief posts available. While these are considered to be sessional contracts, staff have been known to work from 3 hours per week, to increased hours during school holidays. Candidates will also be expected to work outside office hours as required, including evenings, weekends and school holidays. We are offering a competitive salary of £23,893 - £25,119. Positive Futures is a community-based project which creates safe places and spaces for young people to engage in positive activities, aiming to support their safety and reduce the risk of exploitation and harm.
