CONTRACT TYPE: 12 month fixed term contract

SALARY: London £28,760 - £33,830 Norwich £25,870 - £30,440

Are you looking for a new challenge within our Data Governance team?

We are currently looking for a Data Governance Officer to join the team based in either in London or Norwich. This is an initial fixed term contract /secondment opportunity for 12 months with the possibility of extension or being made permanent.

Working closely with the Data Governance lead, this role supports the implementation and maturation of the data governance framework and continuous advancement of the Data Governance policy.

About the role

Some of the key accountabilities include: -

  • Measure and report on data governance, and evaluate ongoing data governance strategy and tactics to ensure compliance with overall Group objectives.
  • Initiate, define, and implement data policies, principles and processes.
  • Instigate and manage the annual review of roles and responsibilities for each data governance role.
  • Coordinate and support the data governance framework activities, data championship groups, and the data steering group sessions
  • Support data governance communication using Blogs
  • Pro-actively deal with non-compliance issues through the agreed data governance ownership channels and report progress to the data governance Framework

About you

You will be a highly organised and analytical individual with experience working within an information or data setting. You will also have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and liaise with staff of all levels. Ideally you will have an understanding of or willingness to learn information management practices and an understanding of regulatory / compliance controls affecting the housing sector.
