About the Role:

Lambeth Adult Social care is seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to take on the essential role of Safeguarding Adults Lead.

Do you have a particular passion for adult safeguarding work? Are you interested in understanding the common themes that occur across the wider multi-agency system, and in identifying creative solutions to improve our safeguarding responses?

The role is part of the Adult Social Care Senior Management team and as the key point of contact in the local authority for all Adult Social Care safeguarding issues, you will need to be someone who is organised, approachable, have an ability to de-escalate and contain highly emotive situations and be committed to leading on all areas of adult safeguarding.

You will work with the Lambeth Safeguarding Adults Board, managing the Board Business Manager, and develop good relationships with partners so that there is a culture of enabling ‘whole system’ solutions to the complex issues that arise.

We especially encourage applications from people from underrepresented groups and while the role is open to all applicants, Lambeth will utilise the positive action provisions of the Equality Act 2010 to appoint a candidate from underrepresented groups where there is a choice between two candidates of equal merit.
