The Governing Body of Somerville Federation would like to appoint a caring, energetic, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated team on a permanent contract. The teaching assistant will need to be flexible and able to support children across the school including children with SEND 1:1 and EHCPs.
The teaching assistant will be required to support children within a specific year group to be allocated after interview. The person should be proficient in supporting children through aspects of National curriculum and phonics. The teaching assistant should be able to build up a good rapport and relationship with children over time. Training will be provided where necessary for a candidate who demonstrates that they will be able to achieve the expectations of school staff. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, have the ability to work as a team member, be able to use their own initiative and also have a clear commitment to an inclusive school.
