The Beach House is a short breaks service that supports adults who have learning disabilities / physical disabilities. The short breaks may be regular planned respite to support family carers or responding to an unplanned emergency. The service users may also have mental health needs, autism and complex needs. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and can support a maximum of 14 people at one time.

Main Advert Detail

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager who has 2 years proven experience of working with people who have learning disabilities. You will play an important role in supporting the manager to further develop the service and lead the staff team.

You will need to have experience and an understanding of staff supervision, have clear written and verbal communication skills and be able to work within and manage the team. Enthusiasm and a passion to support people who have challenging needs is essential. The role involves working closely with the Community Learning Disability Team and family carers.

Training and supervision will be provided to support you in this role.

Additional Information

You will be required to work a rota pattern that includes some weekends, early, late and sleep in duties. Enhancements are paid for these additional hours.
