Job Title: Driver Support Worker
Location: East Herts HCS LD Day Service, Hoddesdon
Salary Range: £15,807 - £16,781 pa
Hours: 37 per week
We are looking for someone to join our team in working with others to provide opportunities for the people who use our day services, to have fun, do new things, achieve their goals and to be fully part of their local community. This role also involves offering care and support to adults with learning disabilities including transporting them to and from their homes to day services in a safe and proper manner, supporting them in day activities and assisting them with their personal and intimate care needs.
You will be in possession of a valid UK Driving Licence with a category D1 entitlement and will need to pass a provided Welfare Ambulance driving assessment. You need to be physically able to support people in wheelchairs on and off vehicles, a task which involves some manual handling for which you will receive training. Another part of the job is to ensure that vehicles are road worthy and to carry out daily and weekly checks
We offer comprehensive training, supervision and support, including an Induction Course that will enable you to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate.
For an informal discussion, please contact Ros Simpson on 01920 427060 or Amanda Ruggiu on 01992 904410.
