What’s the role?
As a key member of our Children and Young People joint commissioning service, you will lead initiatives spanning the NHS South East London Integrated Care Board and Lewisham Council. The role is pivotal to the continued development and implementation of the borough's transformation plans for emotional wellbeing and mental health services - particularly leading on prevention and early help commissioning. Utilising your innovative thinking, you'll navigate complex challenges and devise creative solutions. You will act as the primary liaison with Lewisham for a range of prevention and early help provision and champion the needs of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their wellbeing needs are met effectively.
This is an exiting time to join the service and the post holder will play a key part in developing, shaping, and commissioning effective youth provision and work closely with key stakeholders and providers across the borough.

What we’re looking for
We're looking for a strategic leader to join our service in Lewisham, spearheading efforts to transform prevention and early help provision for children and young people, amongst other key areas of work within the service. You'll have a collaborative approach, be an innovative thinker, have excellent advocacy skills, be adaptable in your approach, and your expertise and understanding of commissioning specific to children and young people will play a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for our children and young people.
Ideally, you will have specialist knowledge in commissioning services for children and young people's wellbeing and enrichment with a good understanding of the voluntary and community sector and experience of forging strong partnerships.

Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House - Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
