The team created to support these migrants is called the Resettlement & Migration team (RMT), we are looking to recruit a Grant & Finance Officer to join the team.</p><p>The team offer wrap around support to all sanctuary seekers in Tower Hamlets including Ukrainian and Afghan refugees and asylum seekers and receive government grants to do so. Your primary responsibility is to manage the financial aspects of the team's operations, including budget administration, grant funding, project management support, and commissioning activity coordination. You will work closely with the Resettlement & Migration Coordinator and operations leads to ensure that projects are carried out efficiently and, on a sound financial basis.</p><p>The role is office based in Tower Hamlets Town Hall situated in vibrant Whitechapel. The role is a permanent contract.</p><p>The Grant & Finance Officer will have responsibility over the following areas:</p><p>1.  Report on finance issues on both a regular and exception basis to the Resettlement & Migration Coordinator and Resettlement & Migration Operations Lead as needed.</p><p>2.  Responsible for database oversight, including (but not limited to) the DLUHC database for Ukrainian Refugees, other government and non-government portals and data relating to asylum seekers in hotels and dispersed accommodation.</p><p>3.  Responsible for collecting, collating and disseminating data to support operations and ensure grant targets are met.</p><p>4.  Lead on the planning and delivery of internal projects as directed by the Resettlement & Migration Coordinator, ensuring that all projects are transparently managed and soundly financially based and drive improvement.</p><p>5.  Provide specialist advice on innovative solutions to meet grant requirements.</p><p>6.  Collate and retain data on all commissioning projects that have been approved and allocated in the team and report to the Resettlement & Migration Coordinator on financial performance.</p><p>7.  Contribute to the implementation of the organisational grant funding portfolio, meeting agreed financial and key performance targets.</p><p>8.  Carry out ongoing research to identify relevant funding programmes and opportunities and assist in completing grant applications where required.</p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>·    You will have a Level 3 qualification in maths, finance, or a related field.
