The Governors of St Gerard’s Catholic Primary and Nursery School wish to appoint a Classroom Assistant 1:1 to join our enthusiastic and hard-working team of professionals. This post is temporary from 1 September 2025 and will cease if the child leaves the school or funding ceases, whichever is the sooner. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in our Catholic ethos and in the wider life of the school.
The successful applicant will:
- * Have high expectations and be committed to school improvement.
- * Understand the role of a 1:1 Classroom Assistant and able to work as a team.
- * Be passionate about children’s learning and able to role-model all aspects of outstanding classroom practice.
- * Understand and have experience of working as a 1:1 Classroom Assistant with a child who has additional needs and be willing to make an impact on their social and academic needs.
- * Be supportive of the school’s strong Catholic ethos.
