JOB DESCRIPTION Duties and responsibilities&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To support the curriculum for both key stage 3 and key stage 4 ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To support with the delivery of the extra-curricular programme&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To work 1:1 during periods throughout the day to deliver interventions relevant and bespoke for our student ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To support with developing offsite activities, in line with personal development and extra-curricular programme ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To ensure that resources are available to staff when required ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To raise attainment for all young people ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To consistently plan, prepare and deliver high quality and engaging interventions for all students ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist teachers with creating lesson plans and learning materials to allow students&nbsp; ● &nbsp; &nbsp;to access the curriculum. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Work with other children with a range of SEMH challenges to deliver education or ● &nbsp; &nbsp;improve their skills. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Support children’s learning needs, boost their confidence, and encourage them to ● &nbsp; &nbsp;participate in the classroom. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Organise and lead activities to improve class members’ social skills and ● &nbsp; &nbsp;communication abilities. ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Help teaching staff with administrative tasks.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience ● &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;previous experience in supporting students with SEMH needs, using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches is desirable. Skills and knowledge ● &nbsp; &nbsp; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to share best practises with colleagues ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment, using trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches ● &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively ● &nbsp; &nbsp;To follow our safeguarding policy and ensure all students are safe at all times.
