We have an exciting one year opportunity for a Project Co-ordinator to work on the Elevate Berkshire European Social Fund (ESF) programme. The Elevate Berkshire partnership operates across the 6 Berkshire local authorities and includes a number of partners including the Prince’s Trust, Ways into Work and Adviza who deliver employment and skills support to unemployed young people aged 16-24 years.

The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating project activity, budget monitoring and performance management and evaluation of Elevate Berkshire projects. The post will also have a focus on sustainability and looking out for new funding opportunities.

As the Elevate programme is pan-Berkshire, the post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the wider Elevate partnership and assist the Elevate Berkshire central team (based at Reading Borough Council) in fulfilling compliance obligations as part of the ESF project.

The ideal candidate will have experience of project work, in particular supporting young people with barriers into employment, education or training. They must also have experience of managing stakeholder relationships, be a confident communicator and be able to prioritise work effectively. Experience of working with European social funding would be desirable.

Internal Reading Borough Council employees must login via Employee Self Service to apply. If you have not yet been issued with your Employee Self Service account, or you have any queries, please email with details.

Visit for more details on how to apply online. Alternatively, call the Recruitment Team on 0118 937 2039 (24 hour answerphone) quoting the job reference number and the job title of the post you are interested in.
