You'll help guide our <strong>Support Workers and Peer Workers</strong>, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to deliver high-quality services to individuals with complex needs, including those with mental health and substance use challenges.<br><br>In this role, you'll lead by example, providing advice and guidance to your team to ensure they can support customers in maintaining their independence. You'll also manage the day-to-day operations, planning rotas, covering shifts, and keeping things running smoothly. In addition, you'll be involved in recruiting, inducting, and developing your team, making sure they have the right skills to succeed.<br><br>Working closely with external agencies, you'll ensure the right support is in place for customers, handling safeguarding and managing risks effectively. You'll also promote activities that support recovery and involvement, empowering customers to flourish and thrive. When your <strong>Team Manager</strong> is unavailable, you'll step up and ensure everything continues to run smoothly.<br><br>In this role, you'll take a trauma-informed and <strong>recovery-focused approach</strong>, supporting customers on their journey to independence and helping them overcome barriers. You'll build positive, professional relationships both inside and outside Peabody, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible support.<br><br>We're looking for someone who:<ul> <li>Has experience working in <strong>specialist or supported housing</strong> for people with a dual diagnosis of mental health, substance use and complex needs.</li> <li>Has experience of working collaboratively to support, promote recovery and has knowledge of best practice in mental health as well as professional curiosity.</li> <li>Has knowledge and experience of safeguarding vulnerable people from abuse. </li> <li>Can write clear and concise reports, while effectively communicating with staff, service users, and external agencies.</li> <li>Is empathetic, resilient, and able to work flexibly - sometimes evenings and weekends.</li>\n</ul>You'll be confident with <strong>time management</strong> and administration, able to juggle multiple tasks and keep accurate records.
