About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a varied and impactful portfolio of engineering projects across the borough.
You’ll be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Managing and developing the Engineering team and associated budgets 
</li>
<li>Leading projects covering car parking, drainage, land management, and more 
</li>
<li>Advising on flood risk and working closely with partners such as the Environment Agency and Kent County Council 
</li>
<li>Overseeing winter maintenance, bridge inspections, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure</li>
</ul>
You’ll work from our Kings Hill offices, with flexibility to work remotely and regular opportunities to be out on-site across the borough.
About You
You’ll hold a degree or HND in Civil Engineering and have a full UK driving licence. While previous managerial experience is an advantage, we’re open to applications from technically strong candidates who are ready to develop their leadership skills with our support.
Your technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and collaborative approach will be key to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality infrastructure for our residents.

Role: Electrician Reports to: Electrical Supervisor
The Role: As an Electrician you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of Supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters. An Electrician also operates within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.
Accountabilities:
<ul>
 <li>Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations</li>
 <li>Installation, repair, inspect &amp; test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report</li>
 <li>Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to void properties, carry out day to day repairs.</li>
 <li>Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification;</li>
 <li>Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required</li>
 <li>Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.</li>
 <li>Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken</li>
 <li>Recording and submitting accurate timesheets corresponding with booking sheets,</li>
 <li>Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.</li>
 <li>Affording excellent customer service to client representatives</li>
 <li>Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.</li>
 <li>Comply with TCHR safeguarding policy and H&amp;S standards at all times</li>
</ul>

 <li>C&amp;G 2360 Part 1&amp;2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&amp;3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate</li>
 <li>C&amp;G 18th Edition Certificate</li>
 <li>C&amp;G 2391</li>
 <li>Full UK driving license</li>
</ul>
Desirable:
<ul>
 <li>Unvented Hot Water Certificate</li>
 <li>Water Regulations Certificate</li>
 <li>Part P</li>
 <li>JIPB H&amp;S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card</li>
