Duties include investigating environmental crime such as fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and other anti-social behavioural issues; gathering evidence, interviewing people, responding to customer concerns and taking appropriate action in order to achieve the desired outcome.&nbsp;
The successful applicant will have a background knowledge in environmental legislation; be able to communicate effectively with members of the public and to manage potentially confrontational situations.
Applicants must have a full, valid driving licence, GCSE level at grade C or above or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths and be computer literate. &nbsp;They must be totally committed to customer care and be able to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations without being intimidated.
