About the Role 
The Public Health Team within Regulatory Services is seeking an Environmental Protection Officer to join our frontline service. This role is key to protecting Enfield’s streets and public spaces by investigating complaints of domestic and commercial nuisances, filthy &amp; verminous premises, waste on private land and defective drainage. There will be an opportunity to gain experience in air quality, contaminated land and permitted premises. 
This is a varied and active role, where you will spend much of your week out on district, investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and taking enforcement action where appropriate. 
Who We’re Looking For 
We are seeking a motivated and proactive officer with strong investigative and enforcement skills. Experience of working within a local authority environmental protection / pollution team is desirable, but not essential.

 - Existing Technical Officers or Environmental Health Officers (newly qualified candidates will be considered or those wishing to complete their training to be registered with the CIEH). 
 - Individuals with enforcement experience and a “can do” attitude who are eager to develop within environmental protection.
