This is a unique opportunity to coordinate a high-profile, nationally significant initiative that will guide nature recovery across the county, embedding biodiversity into decision-making and unlocking investment in our natural capital.About the RoleYou’ll be at the heart of Derbyshire’s nature recovery efforts, working with a wide range of partners—from landowners and local authorities to conservation organisations and community groups – to help translate the Strategy into action. Your role will be to:<ul><li>Convene and support a cross-sector delivery partnership</li><li>Help embed LNRS priorities into local plans and policies</li><li>Facilitate work with partners to develop strategic nature recovery projects</li><li>Monitor and report on delivery progress to Defra and stakeholders</li><li>Lead communications and engagement to raise awareness and promote action</li></ul>This is a dynamic and outward-facing role, requiring excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills in order to able to facilitate, work with, encourage and support partners and others to deliver the LNRS. The Environmental Education Project, based at Rosliston Forestry Centre delivers award winning outdoor sessions and provides fun learning experiences for schools, volunteers, corporate groups, individuals and families at Rosliston and across the National Forest.We are looking to expand our team with casual Facilitators who can lead conservation groups of individual and corporate volunteers.Casual Environmental Education Facilitators: days/ hours according to bookings and taking into account your availability and preferences.
