We are looking to appoint an Environmental Health Officer/Enforcement Office to join our Food and Health &amp; Safety Team,&nbsp;with responsibilities primarily&nbsp;for the regulatory areas of Food Safety, Health &amp; Safety, Infectious Disease Control&nbsp;and&nbsp;Smoke Free&nbsp;Enforcement.
You will be working from our Civic Centre which combines a number of services including the Library, the Drum and numerous food outlets. The Civic Centre is located a stone’s throw from Wembley Stadium, SSE Arena and the London Designer Outlet; and has great transport links.
We are offering a 36 hour week with flexible and remote working, training, opportunities for CPD and maintaining competency and access to the use of a Zip Car.
The Person
We are looking for Environmental Health Officers/Enforcement Officers; EHRB registered and have current experience in food safety and health &amp; safety enforcement. Consideration will also be given to those who will complete their registration within the next 6 months following qualification.
The work will involve a flexible approach when dealing with proactive and reactive issues; and you will be responsible for managing a caseload of work within the above disciplines.
You will have the opportunity to develop professionally and gain experience in a wide range of duties. Training will also be provided where necessary to ensure you maintain your competency and help you develop your professional role and move forward with your career.

About the Role 
The Enviro Crime Team within Regulatory Services is seeking an Environmental Protection Officer to join our frontline service. This role is key to protecting Enfield’s streets and public spaces by investigating abandoned, untaxed, and nuisance vehicles, as well as highways offences. 
This is a varied and active role, where you will spend much of your week out on district, investigating complaints, gathering evidence, and taking enforcement action where appropriate. 
Who We’re Looking For 
We are seeking motivated and proactive officers with strong investigative and enforcement skills. Experience of working within a local authority enviro crime team is desirable, but not essential.

 - Individuals with enforcement experience and a “can do” attitude who are eager to develop within environmental protection.

Our green spaces, commons and cemeteries are highly treasured by our residents. This is your chance to take guardianship of these much-loved facilities that are such an important part of Elmbridge life. 
And what a team! You will be working with a determined and committed group, passionate about protecting and enhancing the green spaces, cemeteries and commons in Elmbridge. They know the value of these spaces to our residents, especially our most vulnerable residents.
Leading the Countryside Rangers you will work with the Countryside Officer to manage Elmbridge`s diverse and extensive countryside estate. The estate covers 625 hectares of land and you will help with all aspects of countryside management including heathland, woodlands and wetland.
A skilled conservation manager with enthusiasm for nature conservation. 
An enthusiastic individual is sought for an immediate start. Must demonstrate interest in nature conservation and possess a current driving licence.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can,
<ul>
<li>Implement the annual review of the Countryside Strategy, instigate and assist in its review, including woodland management, nature conservation and public consultation.</li>
<li>Ensure staff are trained in all works expected to be undertaken including training on Health and Safety Regulations.</li>
<li>Undertake and monitor tree works in the absence of the Arboriculture and Countryside Officer. Have an overview of the Arboricultural Service to enable informed answers to customers enquiries.</li>
<li>Procurement of countryside management works- for example forestry contracts and an annual ditch maintenance contract</li>
<li>Liaison with local conservation groups and recording of ecological surveys on Council owned land.</li>

We are looking to recruit an Environmental Health Officer/Enforcement Officer to join our Health &amp; Safety Enforcement Team with responsibilities primarily for health and safety interventions, accident investigations, special treatment licensing, and smoke free enforcement.
&nbsp;
The Person
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are looking to make a difference and contribute to the Borough's wellbeing with opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of commercial settings; explore opportunities and take part in regular high profile projects to improve the health and wellbeing of the Borough’s visitors and businesses. Consideration will also be given to newly qualified EHOs who have signed up to the CIEH EHP pathway to registration.
To be successful you will need to have a professional qualification to undertake health and safety interventions e.g. NEBOSH or a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health and EHRB registered with the CIEH. You will also need to have a good working knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation as well as experience of investigating RIDDOR notifications, health and safety complaints and enforcement action.
