The Building Control sector has experienced significant change following the Grenfell Enquiry and the introduction of the Building Safety Act. Bexley is well placed to meet these challenges with an ambitious service improvement plan which has ensured the successful registration of its building inspectors and continuing investment in staff and processes to further enhance professional standards and customer service.</p>\n<p>In connection with this, the team requires two registered building inspectors to undertake restricted functions and restricted activities as appropriate to the level of their competency as well as other building control related activities as required. The Council will also offer the necessary supervision for activities outside current competency levels to ensure continuing professional development. In this instance the Council is particularly interested in applicants that have achieved Class 2 competency to at least categories A to D.
