The Role
Identifying and managing risks to consumers from firms who are trading in breach of consumer protection legislation, including the ATOL Regulations.
Core Accountabilities
About You
If you have a compliance/ enforcement background (preferably at a regulator) or an internal audit/ audit background, have a high attention to detail and have a passion for protecting consumers, then this is a fantastic opportunity.
To be considered for the role you must have:
• Experience in carrying out inspections/ audits, preferably in a regulatory enforcement or assessment context.
• Understanding of regulatory policy or legal frameworks, preferably in an aviation or consumer protection environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of interpreting complex information and producing easily understandable communications, using standard IT packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• A methodical, analytical, and detail-focussed approach to the administration, analysis, and evidencing of a case.
• Effective relationship management and influencing capability with an open, diplomatic, and respectful approach to dealing with people.

The role offers variety as in addition to desk based reviews of tour operators’ compliance, there will be visits to businesses to carry out reviews of their processes and procedures.

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
