We are seeking to appoint an experienced practitioner to manage our three Resource Provisions (specialising in ASC), for this popular, inclusive, thriving school, which is well regarded by the local community and located on the Woodchurch Estate. It is an exciting opportunity to join our newly-appointed Headteacher in delivering continued school improvement.
Inclusive and adaptive practice is at the heart of our school; everyone is welcome at Fender. We support the individual learning needs of all our children and are extremely passionate about ensuring our pedagogy and practice is equitable and engaging for all. We are incredibly proud of the children in our school (including around 40%+ with SEND) and the local community that we serve.
The role will be to lead across our three ASC Resource Provisions, managing and delivering CPD and supervision with a small team of teachers and teaching assistants, developing a bespoke curriculum for the resource provisions, and designing a calm and purposeful environment across the three rooms. As part of the role, you will work closely with the SENDCO to ensure our aspirational vision for inclusion is realised.
The role will include a teaching responsibility within one of the Resource Provisions, however, there will be some significant non-teaching leadership time allocated to the role.
We wish to appoint:
A passionate, experienced and ambitious practitioner who has extensive experience of working within SEND, and specifically ASC.
A leader who is dedicated to placing key skills, high-quality literature, oracy and inclusive practice at the heart of curriculum.
A leader who is passionate about developing communication-friendly environments both indoors and outdoors.
A leader who believes in the holistic development of pupils, focusing on both their academic growth and personal well-being.
A leader who will have the capacity to build on the existing strengths and successes of Fender Primary School.
A leader who listens to our children, staff and families, making them feel valued.
We will offer the successful candidate:
Fantastic children who are eager to learn and achieve
An extremely hardworking, experienced and dedicated staff team
A supportive and proactive SLT and Governing Body
The opportunity to make a difference to the lives of hundreds of people
A supportive, inclusive community who want the best for the children
For further details on the role, please see the attached M23 job description.
