An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Housing Needs Team to help find creative housing solutions for our customers.
We are looking for enthusiastic Housing Needs Officers to join our expanding, dynamic and innovative team providing housing advice and support to residents with housing problems. Experience of working with people in an advice or problem-solving capacity is required and we will offer opportunities for training and professional development.
This role will challenge you every day to use your excellent customer service and problem-solving skills within a supportive and motivated team, helping people in often complex and difficult situations, including homelessness.

This role will include carrying out interviews, home visits, liaison with other agencies, carrying out negotiations, agreeing and monitoring personal housing plans in addition to arranging temporary or permanent accommodation for customers facing homelessness. Drawing on your proven experience of dealing with customers in a busy front-line service, you will offer professional advice on a range of housing options to potentially homeless customers, by working with them to resolve their housing situation so you will have a working knowledge of housing/homelessness legislation, welfare benefit reforms, rent arrears procedures, private sector issues and will be able to handle a large and complex workload.
