Experience of working with people in an advice or problem-solving capacity is required and we will offer opportunities for training and professional development.</p>\n<p>This role will challenge you every day to use your excellent customer service and problem-solving skills within a supportive and motivated team, helping people in often complex and difficult situations, including homelessness.</p>\n<p>Are you as passionate about helping people with housing problems as we are? If you can:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate effectively, in person, in writing and over the phone to <em>really </em>understand how to help people to resolve their housing situation</li>\n<li>Manage a caseload effectively within competing demands</li>\n<li>Collaborate with residents, other services and your colleagues & help them to find a lasting solution to their problem</li>\n<li>Understand homelessness prevention, relief and support, proactively working to prevent housing crisis.</li>\n<li>Analyse information meticulously and produce high quality written reports</li>\n<li>Skillfully negotiate with landlords and other external stakeholders</li>\n<li>Conduct interviews in complex and sometimes stressful situations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Then we want to hear from you</strong><strong>.</strong></p>\n<p>This role will include carrying out interviews, home visits, liaison with other agencies, carrying out negotiations, agreeing and monitoring personal housing plans in addition to arranging temporary or permanent accommodation for customers facing homelessness.
