An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care in Halton.
As part of the continuing effort to ensure that we provide an excellent quality of services and are able to meet all of our statutory responsibilities in terms of timescales, we are looking for a Principal Manager to support our Hospital Discharge and Intermediate Care Services across the Borough. The Principal Manger will have operational responsibility for the Services within this area and will support the Head of Service in ongoing Service developments. The Principal Manager will work closely with Health colleagues and provider organisations in the Borough in providing excellent care to residents whilst in our Services.
As the Principal Manager, you will have the relevant experience in leading teams, including coaching and development, to achieve meaningful outcomes for the people we support, including experience and working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Mental Health Act 1983, as well as other relevant legislative knowledge.
The Principal Manager will have experience of working collaboratively with a range of different services and teams including Health, Children’s Services, the Voluntary and Private Sector as well as commissioned service and in house services/teams to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support. As the Principal Manager, you will support the Head of Service in ensuring that the council’s aims and objectives are operationally implemented, and deputise when required. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible approach and a willingness to work in a fast paced and multi-faceted Service. You must hold a full driving licence.
Your role will include the supervision of the Practice Managers across the Service and you will be part of a strong and supportive management Team with access to career development and training opportunities.
