The Role -
Following the introduction of some significant projects at both Councils, the finance service is now looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support these projects.
This role is to provide support to both senior management and individual project managers at Watford Borough Council. Following a successful temporary post, this role has now been substantiated and we are looking to appoint permanently. The successful applicant will work within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, and will be primarily responsible project finance, maintenance of long-term budget and capital forecasts and provision of reports to senior management, the elected Mayor and Councillors.
What we are looking for -
We are looking for an ambitious qualified/passed finalist accountant to work within a busy team supporting two councils in South West Hertfordshire. Local government accounting experience is desirable but not essential. A project management qualification would be an asset.
