The Finance Team are responsible for oversight of all Income and Expenditure within the Council supporting all departments to deliver value for money.
The Finance Business Partner will support designated teams within the Council, providing accurate and timely advice across a range of services to support with budgets, projects and procurement.
If you are AAT qualified /CCAB part qualified or qualified by experience, have relevant in a financial environment (ideally in a local government environment) and experience of analysing and interpreting data using Excel, we would love to hear from you. About the role:We have an exciting opportunity within our Financial Operations Service for a self-motivated Business Support Assistant providing essential support to our practice staff members. This role will be based at One Avenue Road, Aston, Birmingham, however we do work to hybrid model of working, as part of a flexible team you may be asked to cover at our other location Lifford House, Stirchely, Birmingham. The Financial Operations Team process a range of financial transactions, supporting services across Birmingham Childrens Trust. Eg: petty cash payments, ordering goods and services via a variety of methods, making payments to carers and individuals, and dealing with general/complex administrative tasks and queries via phone/email/face to face. We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection.
