An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join the Finance Team within The Learning Trust. This permanent role will primarily be based at The Learning Trust, while also supporting finance operations across all schools within The Learning Trust.
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality support service to students and staff. Your responsibilities will include resolving queries, assisting in the planning and management of school visits and events, collecting parental income and pursuing debts, assisting Belgrave Primary School with wrap around care and other finance tasks, assisting in the operation of the Purchase Ledger as required and helping with general office duties as required. Experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable. A proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.
 You may occasionally be required to work at other schools within The Learning Trust, so flexibility and a collaborative mindset are important. On whichever site you are working, we believe that each of the Trust's schools are great places to work in. Results are strong (and improving), facilities are excellent, the students are highly motivated to succeed, and the schools are situated in great surroundings. Financial Technician 
Salary: AG2 (range £25,583 - £27,254 pa)

Work location: Predominantly the Buxton office as well as Agile working and the Leek office, in line with business need
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Finance team at High Peak Borough Council (HPBC) and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) as a Financial Technician. This is a full-time permanent position which will primarily work in the Finance Housing Rents team for HPBC. In addition, there will be responsibilities for both HPBC and SMDC on Utilities payments, Purchase Card transactions, Council Tax and Business Rates reconciliations and support on sundry debtor income.
We will be excited to meet with candidates who can demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work, with a willingness to take ownership and a dedication to achieving timetables and deadlines.
A Financial Technician role can be the first step in a career in local authority finance, being part of a team which supports the wide range of services delivered by the Councils. The Councils support learning and development as part of the appraisal and development review.
