We currently have one permanent part-time Grade 6 vacancy and one temporary part-time Grade 6 vacancy within the Transactional Accounting team. Transactional Accounting is committed to having the correct support in place to meet the needs of our clients by providing a robust service and a clear career path for staff with access to courses and professional qualifications. Having recently undergone an extensive review, we have a number of permanent and temporary posts available throughout the section. We are looking for highly motivated, efficient individuals with experience of working in a fast paced financial and administrative environment. Candidates should have good ICT skills and the proven ability to use their initiative and judgement to resolve problems. Applicants must be customer focused and effective communicators who are able to provide information and advice to the public and colleagues within the Council. Good literacy and numerical skills, the ability to analyse financial information and to process that data quickly and accurately are essential. Candidates will have responsibility for managing their own workloads and supporting colleagues, whilst being an effective team member. About the roleWe are looking for a customer-focused and hard-working individual to join our small team on a part-time basis working for 3 full days per week (to be discussed at interview).Our team – the Personal Budgets Support Service - delivers a wide range of financial support and advice to disabled people receiving Direct Payments in North Northamptonshire.Our customers rely on us to supply them with timely information, documents and support on a weekly basis, so much of the work is deadline driven and vital to people who use our services.The role will mean that you will be the first point of contact for people who use PBSS as a payroll provider.
