<p>As an Administration Assistant in the MASH team, you will be the first point of contact for members of the public contacting Children’s Social Care.</p>

<p>MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) is a fast-paced team and serves as the front door to Children’s Services and Early Help. It is the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns relating to children, whether raised by families, members of the public, or professionals.</p>
<p>As part of the MASH team, you will handle highly confidential work within Children’s Social Care. Your role will involve close collaboration with colleagues across the department, partner agencies, and members of the public.</p>
<p>The standard working week is one of 37 hours, Monday to Friday, and the council’s agile working policy supports a hybrid approach of approximately 50% office-based and 50% remote working.</p>

<p>The Early Help Service consists of a multi-disciplinary team that works with children, young people, and families.&nbsp; We work closely with a range of partners including children’s social care, schools, housing and health providers and other community services.</p>
<p>You will be part of the council’s Early Help service with experience working with families, young people and children with a range of needs. As a team, you will contribute to our ‘can do’ approach by being flexible and responsive to the unique needs of each family, child and young person you are supporting. <p>You will be an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker joining our Hospital Discharge Team, which covers two key functions: facilitating discharges from acute and community hospitals, and completing post-discharge reviews. These responsibilities are shared across a rota, with four Senior Social Workers rotating between both functions.</p>
<p>We are seeking qualified Social Workers who are registered with Social Work England and bring at least five years’ experience in statutory social services, ideally within a local authority. You will have strong knowledge of current legislation and best practice, along with a proactive, professional, and positive “can-do” approach.</p>

<p>We deliver high-quality care through fun and engaging activities for children and young people with SEND after school, during school holidays, and one Saturday a month. As a Playworker, your main role will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.</p>

<li>Have experience or a strong passion for working with children and young people with a range of disabilities and complex needs.</li>
<li>Are keen to learn about different communication styles and behavioural needs.</li>

<li>Ability to have fun, engage children and young people to access a range of activities, whilst keeping them safe.</li>
<li>Can be positive role models, helping children develop social and independent living skills.</li>

<p><strong>About the role:</strong>&nbsp;As a Playworker, you’ll help children and young people stay safe and reach their potential by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Supporting communication using tools such as Makaton, PECS, and assistive technology.</li>
<li>Facilitating access to a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, sensory play, sports, games, water play, and more.</li>
<li>Promoting independence in life skills such as mealtimes, personal care, and safety.</li>
<li>Encouraging the development of social skills and helping children build positive relationships.</li>
</ul>
